Nobody will shortchange PDP in Plateau by-elections – Bauchi Governor declares, says Plateau is PDP’s

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on Friday declared that since the return of democracy to the country, Plateau state has remained a PDP state saying that the party will reclaim it come 2023.
Bala Mohammed who is the co-chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for Plateau State bye elections in Bassa/Jos North and Pankshin South Constituencies assured stakeholders in the affected constituencies that the Council will not allow anyone to shortchange PDP in the outcome of the polls.
The Governor Bala gave the assurance at a review meeting with members of the council held at at Crispan Hotel, Jos, Plateau state.
The Co-chairman also pointed out that, the meeting was to review the preparedness of the PDP ahead of the forthcoming bye- elections with a view to block all leakages that will affect its victory.
He appreciated the outstanding performance of the members for their commitment to the assigned responsibilities and called for unity in the party for the progress of PDP in Plateau state.
Bala Mohammed said that, “On behalf of my colleague, the Chairman of the council, Governor Samuel Ortom, we are here to reposition and give support to Plateau chapter of PDP for us to win the forthcoming bye- elections” .
According to the Governor, “We are here for our party, we must thank God for what we are today as a party, it is true that PDP is the only party in Nigeria with the required experience with those who know how to lead. Plateau is PDP and PDP is Plateau” .
He further said that, “We have made arrangements to ensure we are not shortchanged in the outcome of the elections and I am optimistic that with what we are doing, we have the chances of reclaiming Plateau state.”
The Governor pleaded with INEC and security agencies to ensure justice in the process by providing a level playing ground to all the parties, assuring that, PDP is not encouraging its members to shortchange anybody in elections.
Bala Mohammed concluded saying, “I will commend the National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and other critical stakeholders of the party for closing rancor by ensuring unity among us which will be the key for PDP’s victory in 2023 general elections.”
He then assured that at the end of the exercise, the PDP candidates will emerge winners considering that people are tired of deceit from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels as contained in a statement by Muktar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bauchi Governor.
