North Central Development Commission MD attends Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0 flag-off

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, was among dignitaries who attended the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (RH-GEEP 3.0) and the flag-off of the FarmerMonie/Wet Season Programme, organised by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction in Abuja.

Dr. Tsenyil expressed the Commission’s alignment with the objectives of the programme, describing it as a veritable platform for partnership and collaboration with the Ministry in tackling economic hardship and post-crisis recovery challenges across the North Central region.

While flagging off the programme, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Barnard Mohammed Doro, stated that the initiative represents the fulfillment of the social compact between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian people.

He explained that Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0 is designed to strengthen social interventions targeted at vulnerable groups through empowerment strategies aimed at making beneficiaries self-reliant.

The Acting National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) noted that the programme has been reinvigorated to align with the aspirations of the current administration, which is committed to improving the welfare and living conditions of Nigerians.

In her remarks, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, described the event as a clear demonstration of the Tinubu administration’s resolve to scale up food production and empower citizens across the country.

Also speaking, the Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, delivered a goodwill message in which she commended the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction for ensuring the programme’s viability and for expanding its reach to capture more vulnerable Nigerians.

Similarly, the Governor of Kano State sent a goodwill message through his Director-General, Media, commending the initiative and assuring of the state government’s readiness to partner in its implementation.
