NSCDC nabs four suspects for alleged burglary, possession of illicit drugs in Nasarawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), squad has nabbed four suspects for alleged burglary, possession of illicit drugs and theft in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Parading all the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Lafia, the Commandant, Muhammed Kabiru-Ingawa who spoke through the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSC Jerry Victor, said that the victims were arrested following a tip-off from a concerned citizen in the state.
He added that the suspects were apprehended in the night by the personnel of Ruga Madaki 1 Division of the NSCDC who were patrol on December 9, 2024, at about 2300hrs.
Those arrested by the command as according to DSC Victor are a 24 years-old Ahmad Abubakar, Stephen Ikechukwu Onochi, 30 years-old, Ibrahim Ismaila 24 years and Rabiu Haruna 26 years-old respectively.
He said, “The suspects were found in possession of stolen goods, including two phones, stun gun, over 20 parcels of wrapped cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp), 2 pair of scissors, chemical embedded drug also known as Ice, bunch of keys, torch light and other illicit drugs.”
While warning that the command would not tolerate any form of criminal activity across the 13 local government areas of the state, said that the command will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those who engage in such activities are brought to justice.
According to him, the commandant Kabiru-Ingawa has also appealed to members of the public to continue to provide useful information that could aid in the arrest and prosecution of criminals in the state.
He, however, added that all the suspects would be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution, immediately investigation is concluded, reiterating the command’s commitment to continue to work closely with other security agencies and stakeholders to ensure that Nasarawa State remains a safe and secure place for all.
