NUJ Jigawa commends Jigawa Governor Namadi over honorary doctorate degree award

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, extends heartfelt congratulations to its Grand Patron, Governor Namadi, on being awarded an honorary doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) in Business and Sustainability by the Federal University of Otuoke, Bayelsa State.

In a statement jointly signed by Council Chairman Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, and Acting Secretary Aminu Umar Shuwajo, the NUJ described this honor as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Namadi’s exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to transparent governance, public service reforms, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, and economic development in Jigawa State and beyond.

The Union joins fellow citizens in celebrating this “remarkable milestone” and offers prayers for continued wisdom and success in the Governor’s efforts to drive progress in the state.

“This prestigious recognition reflects your exemplary leadership and commitment to public service, youth empowerment, and economic growth in Jigawa State,” the statement emphasized.

The NUJ highlighted that this award is not only a personal achievement for Governor Namadi but also a source of pride for all Jigawa State citizens. The Council commended the Federal University of Otuoke for recognizing excellence in public policy and administration, noting that Governor Namadi’s distinction will inspire many in and out of public office to embrace service with integrity and discipline.

“As journalists, we take pride in seeing good governance acknowledged and celebrated. Governor Namadi’s story demonstrates that consistent, behind-the-scenes leadership and humility can indeed shine in the public sphere,” the statement concluded.

The NUJ reaffirmed its support for leaders who embody the values of dedication, accountability, and excellence in public service and prayed for greater milestones in Governor Namadi’s journey.
