Numan General Hospital to be renovated this month says Adamawa governor, Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Tuesday inspected General Hospital Numan with a promise to turn around the hospital by restructuring and providing the necessary medical facilities in the healthcare centre.

The Governor who stated this in an interview with newsmen in the hospital shortly after the inspection said government will on this month put all machinery in motion to commence renovating the hospital to enable it function optimally.

He stressed that the government will also construct new buildings in the general hospital and deploy adequate healthcare equipment in order to improve healthcare service in Numan and environs.

Governor Umaru Fintiri explained that restructuring the hospital will among others cater for the health needs of the growing population in the area adding that in the next eight months the project will be completed.

He revealed that his administration is currently constructing a new cottage hospital of sixty-bed capacity in Lamurde local government to complement the operations of general hospital Numan in healthcare service delivery.

The Governor who was during the visit accompanied by Deputy Speaker State House of Assembly Mr Pwamakaino Makondo among other senior government officials was conducted round the hospital by the Principal Medical Office Doctor Tomko Bethuel.

Governor Fintiri after the inspection, alongside his entourage had proceeded to palace of Hama Bachama, Homun Honest Irmiya Stephen in Numan where he paid a homage for a royal blessings.
