Stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political actors under the aegis of Anambra Coalition Stakeholders Forum drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas and 326 electoral Wards of Anambra State have adopted the coalition moves of its national leadership.
The Forum also adopted the choice of Chief John Nwosu as its governorship candidate for the Nov. 8,2025 poll in Anambra State.
The stakeholders led by the party’s national chairman, Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, brainstormed on the political climate of the nation and the way forward.
They commended its leadership for the initiative to join the national coalition at this point in the nation’s political development, stressing that only such would galvanize all the aggrieved and restive zones and individuals.
While adopting the resolution at the end of its meeting in Awka in the well-attended session, the stakeholders expressed satisfaction that ADC was piloting the coalition compass towards the anticipated new political movement in the country.
Chief Nwosu in his remarks pointed out that what is playing out now was result of about twenty years of painstaking, hard work and sleepless nights.
He said that former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has expressed confidence and done invaluable leg work in anchoring the emerging political structure and for it to be rested in ADC as a political party with a difference.
Just like the ex-President’s views, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Chief Nwosu said, was keen to see the coalition galvanized to fruition under ADC, saying: “That is what Nigeria needs now”.
While commending the Anambra stakeholders of the party for being alive to the Coalition dreams, Nwosu thanked them for their doggedness.
ADC governorship candidate expressed high confidence in his victory at the coming Nov 8, 2025 poll.
He dropped seven key -point agenda of his campaign focus with which to turn things around for the state and the citizens.
The forum nominated a former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barr BenChuks Nwosu as the chairman of the stakeholders and Prof (Mrs) Zelunjo Igweze as Secretary. Both signed the communique.
