The Labour Party Youth leader in Anambra State, Comrade Ekene Nnadi, has asked the Inspector -General of Police (IG), Mr. Kayode Egbetokun and his Director-General of Directorate of State State Security Services (DSS) counterpart to immediately arrest the National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Felix Muoka for threatening the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, in the last general elections.
Comrade Nnadi who spoke in Onitsha, Anambra State, said for Muoka, one of the national officers of the ruling APC to have openly come out to tell the former Governor of Anambra State that he has crossed the red line was a clear indication that there was something sinister they have discussed and agreed about Obi.
Many Nigerians, including the former Vice-president of the country, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had condemned APC and Muoka in particular for that outburst.
Muoka himself following the widespread condemnation has denied that he threatened Obi in his outburst.
But Comrade Nnadi insisted that his call on the two security chiefs in the country was to make Muoka to unveil the full motive behind his statement, stating that they would hold him responsible if anything untoward happens to Obi.
He said for Muoka to have made such statement, there must have been something they were cooking against Obi.
Comrade Nnadi said: “Nothing evil should happen to Obi. Nobody should intimidate Obi. We will not allow anybody, no matter how highly placed to intimidate or muzzle him from speaking truth to power at all times for the interests of the generality of Nigerians.”
He said that Obi today is the conscience of the nation and they want to silent him, saying that Muoka and his co-travellers in APC should be interested in how to drastically reduce the hunger and hardship plaguing the masses of this country.
