Obiano tasks lawyers on prompt dispensation of justice
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Uju Nwogu declares open the 2-day workshop for law officers

The Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano has charged legal practitioners to be prompt in justice delivery.
He gave the charge while declaring open a two day workshop for law officers organized by the State Ministry of Justice at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat complex in Awka.
Governor Obiano who was represented by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Uju Nwogu charged the law officers to be diligent and dedicated in performing their duties.
The Governor assured of providing them with the necessary support as well as a level playing ground to enable them carry out their duties with a view to creating a better society.
In a remark, the Head of Service of Anambra State, Barrister Harry Uduh, who viewed the conference as timely, expressed the hope that justice delivery in the state will be better positioned as the law officers will come out well informed on the best practices as regards to justice.
Delivering a lecture on the overview of the Anambra Criminal Justice Law 2010: Its highlights and challenges and the presentation of criminal cases in court and the attitude of law officers, a Judge of the State High Court, Justice Peter Obiorah noted that apart from the fact that the idea of the conference was to provide a platform for learning,.
He said it is also a stock-taking exercise as the conference is an opportunity for self-examination on how the law officers in the state are discharging their assignment of prosecution of cases, identify areas of challenges and proffer solutions with a view to improving on the system.
