Obiano urges students to embrace ICT, plans review of school curriculum

The Governor of Anambrs State, Chief Willie Obiano says plans are in top gear by his administration to change the school curriculum to help students write Microsoft examination before Senior Secondary three.
He also enumerated other plans to include empowerment programmes, scholarships, among others, saying that Vienna has offered scholarships, to fifty Anambra youths to study in their country with the basic requirement of proficiency in German language.
Governor Obiano stated this during the National Convention of United Youth Assembly and United Women Assembly in Awka.
Governor Obiano who commended Anambra youth and women for their efforts which made the twenty-one over twenty one possible, pointed out that his administration has many programmes for the youths.
The Governor who said that his administration has concluded plans to instruct select-Anambra youths on German language maintained that more youths and women will be gainfully employed and engaged in the remaining two years of his administration.
The Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Chief Chinedu Obidigwe said that the gathering signified unity adding that they had always supported the Governor since 2013.
The Federal lawmaker added that they will continue to spread the message of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA), and the Governor’s good work in the coming months, saying that APGA’s consolidation is paramount for continued development.
A one-time Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo presented a lecture on the topic, “The Need For Youth Involvement in Politics, Nation Building and The Gap Between Politics and Gossip.
