The Director of Administration, All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra State, Sir Arinze Awogu has alleged that the people of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State had not benefitted from N2 billion oil derivation proceeds being paid the Anambra State because of the oil being taken on its soil.

Sir Awogu who is the National Chairman of Ikemba Front spoke during a mega rally of APC in Atani in which they inaugurated the Atani Ward 1 Executive, Inducted Party Stakeholders and Opening of their office.

He lamented that the State Government is collecting a whopping sum of N2 billion every month because of the oil being taken from the soil of Ogbaru but the communities where this mineral resource is being taken have not benefitted anything from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)-led Government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

He said there is no road to Ogwuikpele and Ogwuaniocha communities of the Local Government, while the Ogbaru ring road still remained unattended to almost fours year Soludo has been in the saddle.

The former chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area during the administration of Chief Willie Obiano said political appointments do not in actual since benefit the people.

Rather, he said, what benefit the people were provision of basic infrastructures such as roads, which he said Soludo Government has failed woefully in the entire local government.

Awogu queried his people: “If this government did not remember us in this first tenure, is it in the second tenure that he does not owe anything to anybody that he will remember you? I want to assure you that Soludo will never remember you again”.

He urged them to redirect their support to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of APC, who he said, has the capacity and humane heart to remember them.

Awogu said the most painful aspect is that criminals and kidnappers have taken over some communities in the Local Government, yet the State Government appeared indifferent to the ugly situation.

“Ogbaru is no more safe. As we are talking, one of our sons is in the hands of kidnappers. Soludo has failed Anambra State. There is insecurity almost everywhere. There are bloody kidnappers holding down Ogbaru,” Arinze said.

He assured that the APC led Government of Prince Ukachukwu would liberate Ogbaru and the entire Anambra from the alleged misrule of Prof Soludo.

Commissioning the Atani Ward 1 office, the Deputy chairman of APC in Anambra State, Chief Ifeanyi Osegbo, expressed joy at the number of APC members in Atani.

He said he was impressed, stressing that they should turn the number into victory for the party in November 8, 2025 Governorship election.

The chairman of Atani Ward 1, Engr Kenechukwu Aniche, thanked the guests and members who came to grace the occassion for their support.

He assured that the newly inaugurated Executive would redouble their efforts to clinch victory for the party and their candidate on November 8th, 2025 Governorship election.
