Ogbomosho youths in Bauchi urged to be worthy ambassadors

Ogbomosho Youths resident in Bauchi state under the umbrella of Ogbomosho Parapo Northern Council have been charged to be good Ambassadors of the ancient town as they go about their callings among the host community.
The charge was given by Chairman of the Ogbomosho Parapo Bauchi State, Alh Mustapha Abdulsalam while speaking at the end of the year get together of the Youth group held Sunday evening in Bauchi.
He stressed that as sojourners in Bauchi state, they must strive to live in peace with the host community charging them to be agents of unity, peace and peaceful co-existence saying that it only by so doing that the name and dignity of Ogbomosholand can be further uplifted.
Mustapha Abdulsalam then charged them to be serious with everything they found themselves doing for a living charging them to avoid indolence, dishonesty, corruption and other social vices that can soil the name of the ancient town with disrepute.
Religious leaders who spoke at the occasion, Imam Abdulyekeen Ogala, Chief Imam of Ansarudeen, Rev Babatunde Adewusi, Pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church and Rev Raphael Adetunmibi of First Baptist Church all charged the youths to shun social vices that will their precious lives.
On his part, Rev Babatunde Adewusi urged them to their religions tenaciously because according to him, “that is your strength and power to live a life free of sin and malice. You have to prove that you are upright”.
Imam Abdulyakeen Ogala stressed the need for the youths to be up and doing so that the host community will notice their peaceful coexistence through the industry they are engaged in.
The religious leaders while commiserating over the death of the monarch, late Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, Soun of Ogbomosholand, they appealed that due process should be followed in the selection of a successor to the throne.
Earlier, Chairman of the Ogbomosho Parapo Youth wing, Comrade Adebayo Ajadi commended the leadership role of the fathers saying that the youths are fast learning from the good postures of the old ones.
He said that the youths are ready to compliment the roles of the fathers by ensuring that Ogbomosho indegenes resident in Bauchi state lived harmoniously with the host community stressing that it is only through such that peace can reign.
He however lamented that rather than unite Ogbomosholand, elites are using politics and other means to further divide the town appealing to them to see reasons to unite in order to move the land forward positively.
Adebayo Ajadi assured that in the new year, the youths will embark on self developmental projects and programmes in order to boost the various trades they are engaged in.
