The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has urged the federal Government to consider release of Comrade Omoyele Sowere international passport as a gesture to show the element of democratic government and rule of law.
Addressing pressmen in Abuja on Thursday, the National President Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), Igboayaka igboayaka advised President Bola Tinubu not to toe the line of impunity of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Comrade Igboayaka frowned that over five years the immediate Presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) Comrade Omoyele Sowore is still in partial prison and has been confined to Nigeria and can’t travel out of the country as the courts seized his international passport with impunity under the influence of the Presidency.
Comrade Igboayaka opted that the treasonable charges against the Convener of #RevolutionNow Comrade Sowere by President Buhari led federal government was laughable and mockery to Nigeria democracy, stating that Sowere is not a threat to Nigeria democracy, but Buhari past led federal government was the biggest threat ever in Nigeria democratic journey.
Comrade Igboayaka urged President Tinubu to allow judicial independence to strive in Nigeria Judiciary sector especially in the case of Comrade Omoyele Sowere vs Federal government and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu vs Federal government.
