The spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has sent special delegations to two countries in central and west Africa to amplify importance of African unity and emancipation from evil clutches.
The visitations are ahead of his upcoming universal birthday celebration, tagged Divine Manifestation, where world dignitaries, religious leaders, arrays of groups and intellectuals have declared interest to attend.
The one week solemn event is scheduled to climax in Calabar, capital of Cross River State on 20 November 2022.
The two teams of emissaries have since arrived their destinations and are interfacing with heads of governments, diplomatic corps, religious, academic and traditional chieftains as well as groups on needs for global peace, unity and for Africans to forge a common front in a bid to re-establish their prime positions.
The team to Democratic Republic of Congo is led by Dr Amah Williams, CA Veronica, CA Sunny Ibom and CA Nicholas Nyemek.
Dr Williams, a university don, told journalists in Calabar that “the spiritual leader has a greater desire to unite Africans and indeed the human family, which reason he continually expends staggering resources to despatch delegations upon delegations to many countries and African communities to preach love, peace forgiveness and the arrival of the prophesied eternal Kingdom of God on African soil.
“We are set to engage in high profile visitations, press conferences, one on one evangelism, interaction with the Nigerian community in Kinshassa and other Evangelical Engagements to the government and people of DRC. Our Father has directed that we speak against wars and factions.”
The Ama Williams’ team was warmly received by the Nigerian Ambassador to DRC, Ambassador HE (Engr.) Omar Suleiman at the Nigerian embassy in Kinshasa Tuesday.
The Ambassador expressed appreciation to God for bringing the team to DRC safely. He said with the coming of BCS to DRC he is hopeful that Peace will return to the Nation.
He said BCS had existed in the country long ago and even had a property but there seems to be a disconnect with the World Headquarters of the fold which situates in Calabar Nigeria and the property was lost.
He assured the Diplomats that the Embassy will support BCS to re-establish it’s presence in DRC and conduct it’s unification task.
Our reporter learnt that the other team to Ghana is the academic arm of the spiritual organization known as Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars.
They had arrived Accra, capital of Ghana, on Tuesday.
Archbishop Emmanuel Ekuri who is chairman of Evangelism Committee of the scholarly body said the spiritual leader sent him and his team to meet with Ghanaian stakeholders, government officials and body of scholars in the West African nation.
“Our Father has sent us to the Republic of Ghana to deliver his Special Message of love, peace, honesty, humility and the imperative needs for Ghanaian leaders and indeed humankind to abandon fetish practices, evil, and love themselves and cling only to God.
“He has asked my team to visit political leaders, clerics, academic people and even ordinary Ghanaians and tell them that God has come in person and that He truly loves them.
“We will World Press Conference, visit Ghana National library, mount Ecumenical Symposium with the theme “The Power of Love in healing our fractured world” on Saturday, 13th of November 2022 Accra. As we speak, some members of my group have already visited traditional and religious chieftains in Kumasi.”
Ekuri revealed that such notable speakers as Srivas Das of the Hare Krishna Movement, Bishop Samuel Noi Mensah of the Full Gospel International, Imam Ahmad Tijani Haruna, Deputy Imam of Fise Community Mosque and himself will speak at the Interfaith symposium.
