Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been man of the civil servants since when he served as Governor of Adamawa in acting capacity.
These help much towards electing the Governor during the 2019 polls. The Governor has made a number of promises and fulfilled them within one year in office.
Approval for payment of N32, 000 as minimum wage to civil servants.
– Timely Payment of Salaries on the 24th /25th of every month which give workers opportunity to plan well on their spending.
– Set up a technical committee to proffer solution to some challenges facing the civil service like the existence of Deputy Permanent Secretaries operational only in Adamawa State.
– Instituted Visitation Panels fir the various tertiary institutions in the state to ascertain the problems and proffer solutions to them, as a way of improving the standards of tertiary education in the stat
– Granted full financial autonomy to local government councils in the state for the purpose of salary payment and executing developmental and people orientated projects in various local government areas.
– Raised the monthly allocation for payment of pensions and gratuity of retired workers from N50m to one N100m.
– Introduced the state Treasury Single Account TSA as a way of checking financial linkages in public funds.
