Osun Governor Special Assistant on non-indigenes celebrate Christmas with leaders, stakeholders of non-indigenes

The Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Osun State on Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau states in Osun State, Hon. (Chief) Micheal Nworie Esq, hosted the stakeholders and tribal leaders of non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau States in his country home, Ede, Osun State.

Those in attendance on December 26, 2023 are executives of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Osun State chapter, the Leaders of Tiv Community, Igede Community , Akwa Ibom, Cross River State and other stakeholders of non-indigenes south in Osun State.

The SSA welcomed the guest to his house and thank them for making out time to honor his invitation to celebrate Christmas together and also to deliberate on ways to bring all Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau states in Osun state together to enable us support and key into the developmental vision of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

Responding, the President Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Osun State, Pastor John Dike, thanked the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for appointing Hon. Bar Micheal Nworie as the SSA overseeing the affairs of the Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau States living in Osun. He also said that this is the first time the Non-Indigenes are having this type of appointment in Osun, which shows that the Executive Governor has the interest of the Non-indigenes at heart. He further stated that Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other Non-Indigene groups will support our SSA and the Executive Governor to succeed at any capacity they need our support.

The Leader of Tiv Community in Osun, Chief Augustine Tsor thanked the SSA for bringing the leaders and stakeholders of Non-Indigenes together to celebrate Christmas with him and also suggested that Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau should be meeting regularly to enable us mobilize more Non-indigenes from different local government areas of Osun state to support the governor.

Chief Ogah Mathias, the Leader of Igede Community in Osun State also joined in thanking the Governor for appointing Bar, Michael Nworie as SSA Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau and also pledged his loyalty to the SSA and the Executive Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.

The PRO Ohanezendigbo Chief Paulinus Ugoeze suggested that we the leaders and stakeholders of Non-indigenes should start hosting meetings for Non-indigenes starting from ending of January, 2024.

Chief Eze Ochulor suggested that Non-indigenes should pay his Excellency, the Executive Governor a courtesy visit to appreciate him for appointing Hon. Chief Bar. Michael Nworie as the SSA Non-indigenes of South, Benue and Plateau States.

Chief Michael Nworie in his reactions promised to be transparent in all his dealings as it concerns the non-indigenes, he also gave accounts of state and federal palliatives and programs that non-indigenes have benefited so far through his office, which includes but not limited to Bags of Rice shared among all the tribes, state and federal empowerment programs, grants to medium and small scale businesses, etc.

He further promised to relate whatever that concerns the Non-Indigenes to the Executive Governor.

The celebration also had in attendance, the Eze Ndigbo of Edeland Prophet Edwin Ottis who prayed for the success of the Governor Adeleke in office.
