Our support is unshaken, Plateau northern zone stakeholders assure Governorship aspirant, Kizito Gukas

At the weekend, the “Kizito Dankat Gukas for governor in 2023”; under the aegies of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Plateau State, received a boost following the successful meeting of the Plateau northern zone of major stakeholders of his campaign train. 

The meeting which drew wards, local governments and the zonal leaders of the six local government areas in the zone, saw each of the leaders pledging their total commitments for the actualisation of the aspirant:s ambition in the party’s primaries and eventual election.

The meeting which was fortunate to have Mr. Kizito Gukas in attendance, also saw a handful of leaders from the central and southern zones; who came to lent  their support to the gathering. 

During his welcome remarks, Mr. Kizito Gukas was emphatic when he expressed that his decision was bound out of his love for the once peaceful state and his desire to build on the relative peace which was being witnessed. 

According to him, it was one thing for a person to indicate interest for the state’s plum job and again its another thing to consider if such a person is capable. 

He added that he has plans to transform Plateau to its enviable status as “home of peace and tourism”, which when achieved, will open doors to investments considering the facts that Plateau is rich in all aspects of human and material endeavors. 

Mr. Kizito Gukas, a teacher and an administrator further stressed that his administration, when given the mandate, won’t punish the people with unnecessary taxation because the state has all it takes to generate its revenue and channel same to its developmental needs.

He appealed to other aspirants to ensure the game was played in accordance to the rules since its “not a matter of do or die.”

He promised to unveil his blueprint which will further assure the people that his dreams for the state were genuine and in the best interests of the state and the country at large. 

The aspirant pledged to continue where incumbent governor, Simon Lalong stopped adding that “he has done his best” and the people must must not loose sight of this and he should be commended. 

Earlier,  the northern zonal leader,  Hon. Yohana Arum Izam said he and other stakeholders carefully and painstakingly came up with the ward leaders and he was sure they are the team to deliver the aspirant when the need arise.

He added that Kizito Gukas was an acceptable aspirants and Plateau people are only waiting for the leaders to unveil to the state; and the unveiling will not take long for it to be done.

Describing his principal as a detribalise or religious bigot as is noticeable in the composition of the zonal team, insisting that name “Kizito Dankat Gukas ” is peace in its self. 

Highlights of the event saw ward leaders from Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos south, north and east as well as Bassa LGAs pouring enconiums on Gukas and pledging to work assiduously for his emergence as sole candidate and eventual success at the polls.
