Outcome of International investment summit will reduce poverty level in Taraba – Hon Dangote

The just-concluded Taraba International Investment Summit has been described as a platform aimed at ending poverty in the state.

The Chairman Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Samaila Zakari Dangote stated this in an interview with our correspondent in Jalingo on Tuesday.

He disclosed that with the summit Taraba has no business with poverty any more.

He said the role of the summit has clearly opened up the perspective of people both home and international on God’s given mineral potential deposit begging for harness in Taraba.

Dangote further revealed that critical stakeholders and Tarabans should support this noble move by the governor to ensure that investors are encouraged to come and do business in Taraba State without further delay.

According to him, solid minerals abound which was perceived as waste have now become the cornerstone of economic greatness to the state, hence all hands must be on deck to develop them to its fullest.

He urged the people of the state to close ranks and cooperate with the state government particularly in the area of security.

Speaking on the secret behind the peaceful local government, Hon. Dangote revealed his administration’s regular engagements with all stakeholders including traditional rulers, security agents, herder, farmers, Christian, Muslim groups as well as the youths and the Ardos.

On achievement of his administration, Dangote listed Mayo-Ranewo bridge, renovation of the office of council chairman, maintenance of security and other projects now awaiting commissioning by the governor.

He expressed his gratitude to the present government for numerous supports accorded to the council in the past two years.
