Over 1000 benefit from Eziafakaego Foundation annual health outreach at Nnokwa


Over 1000 persons were at the outreach

More than 1000 persons have benefited from the Eziafakaego Foundation Annual Health Outreach, held at Nnokwa, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The 2020 outreach which is the 14th in its series has both indigenes and non Indigenes of Nnokwa benefiting from free medical care and  Christmas gifts among others.

Our correspondent, who was at Ubili Civic Centre Nnokwa, venue of the programme reports that the event also captured children of the community for the first time as there was Christmas package for them.

The 2020 Eziafakaego Foundation free medical outreach with the theme, “Health is Wealth” began with a health walk of over two kilometers led by the Chairman of the foundation, Dr. Obiora Chukwuka.

Returning to the venue at Ubili Civic Center, Nnokwa, both the elderly and children were diagnosed and treated of various diseases such as, high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, prostate complications, malaria, among others.

Those with eye problems were also examined and were issued proper glasses for correction, while the event climaxed with the distribution of Christmas gifts including ten kilograms of rice, soap, among others.

Speaking to newsmen during the event, the Chairman, Eziafakaego Foundation, Dr. Obiora Chukwuka said that he is so passionate about the well-being of his people.

He urged the beneficiaries to ensure that they prioritize their health at all times noting that the idea behind the Christmas gifts was not to solve all their problems but rather to show them love and concern.

Dr. Chukwuka, enjoined other well meaning individuals in the society to ensure they reach out to the less privileged ones within their reach as the best way to enjoy God’s blessings is by giving to others.

In appreciation shortly after receiving the medical care, drugs and their Christmas package, some of the beneficiaries, including, Mrs. Uju Ilogbenu and Mrs. Chinyere Chukwuma, prayed for God’s blessings upon the benefactor so as to enable him sustain the good work.
