Party’s interest’ll supercede mine – House of Representatives aspirant

The former chairman of IPAC in Cross River State Sunday Michael has said that he will submit to the interest of All Progressives Congress (APC) provided the processes to pick candidate for the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency are all transparent.

Sunday Michael is the special adviser to Governor Benedict Ayade on Inter-Party affairs, Michael Sunday and has declared his interest to run for the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency next year.

He said: “We are going to contest for the ticket. But if at the end, the delegates feel I or the incumbent, Dr Alex Egbonna or any other aspirants is victorious, the party’s interest will supercede ours provided the processes will be transparent.

“But I can assure that I have all it takes legally to be given the ticket.

“If I am given the ticket, I will run a race devoid of rancor for the seat.

Sunday said he has carried out wide consultations and found that the constituents would prefer him to the incumbent.
