The National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Iyorchia Ayu says the 1640 politicians who defected the party and the mammoth crowd that received his entourage in Yola, Adamawa State was a signal PDP will form government come 2023.
Ayu stated this at the Mahmud Ribadu Sqare Yola when he received decampees which include two members from Adamawa state House of Assembly who left APC to joined PDP, the defectors cut across the 21 local goverment areas of the state.
The PDP chairman described the party’s presidential flagbearer, Abubakar Atiku as a unifier following the crowd witnessed saying that leadership is only found in PDP, it is on this note that the people are decamping left, right and center to the party.
He noted that the decampees will come in their thousands they will be integrated because they have a very umbrella to contain all f them and will be treated equally to pave ways for as 100 percent members of Adamawa state Assembly will soon defect to PDP, Ayu added.
On his part, former Vice President and PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar told the gathering that it is not yet time for campaign but to receive decamped they are advanced in politics for thirty years the people will still vote for them.
He said this time they will change the narrative to save the country from insecurity therefore, i call on you to vote for Fintiri to come back, “Bring Fintiri Back”.
His words, “I am into politics for the last thirty years and i know you are ready to vote for me, I will ensure security will be things of the past, I plead with you to bring Fintiri back.”
“My three decades in politics is enough to bring Nigeria out of this insecurity, I want you to vote for Fintiri no matter what he has done.
Speaking earlier, the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman Barr. AT Shehu said today Atiku Abubakar has gone round the country and today in Adamawa because Adamawa is a unity state, he commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who is the committee chairman to reconcile the aggrieved members.
In his remark, Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri congratulates those who have crossover from APC to PDP, it was on this note that when he came to power he promised the people of Adamawa state unity, infrastructure, Housing with over 1000 housing unit all delivered, he never promise flyover or under fly but all delivered while education, our students came 75 percent in WAEC and SSCE.
Speaking on behalf of decampees, Hon. Shuaibu Babas said that they decamped with over 1,640 members here others are still in the villages that left APC to PDP to vote for Atiku who is coming to save the masses of Adamawa and Nigeria, APC lack leadership so they are coming to vote out APC in Adamawa state and Nigeria.
According to Babas, they decamped along with Ayuba Garba a Binanis’ Awareness forum who also left APC for PDP to form a formidable team from councillors to presidency.
