PDP presidential candidate, Atiku harps on need to strengthen economic bilateral relationship between Nigeria, South Africa

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearer in the forthcoming presidential election in 2023 His Excellency Atiku Abubakar has played host to the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency Thamsanqa Dennis Mseleku, in his residence in Asokoro.
Their deliberations at the meeting focused mainly on how to deepen bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Africa as a rallying point of engendering robust intra-African relations for the purpose of providing the needed framework for unity and economic cooperation in the continent.
This was contained in a statement by AbdulRasheed Shehu, Special Assistant on Broadcast Media to Atiku Abubakar, to Apex News Exclusive.
Ambassador Dennis Mseleku observed that Nigeria needs a peaceful transition this time pledging South African support for Nigeria to ensure a successful election in 2023.
He noted the efforts of both countries aimed at bilateral economic cooperation hinting that what is needed at the moment between both countries is to work on practical economic cooperation.
On his part, the PDP presidential candidate thanked the ambassador for the visit and commended him for working to strengthen the bond of relationship between Nigeria and South Africa.
The Wazirin Adamawa promised that if elected in 2023 he will work to boost the bilateral relations between both countries as a model for others to emulate.
