A former Governorship candidate of defunct National Democratic Party (NDP) in Anambra State, Chief (Dr) Victor Ikechukwu Anigbata, has cautioned Nigeria Judiciary to remember that there is an ultimate Judge above whenever they are delivering judgment.
Speaking on the recent judgment delivered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), Dr. Anigbata said ultimately every judgement would be subjected on the scale of the supreme God who determines what is fair, just and standard of justice.
The former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra State expressed disappointment over the judgment the Tribunal delivered over the last Presidential Election in which they dismissed all the issues canvassed by Peter Obi of Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of PDP.
He said:”Nigerians are disappointed with the judgment. The Judges are insensitive to the earnings of Nigerians. But they should watch it. It cannot be like this forever”.
Sounding philosophical, Dr. Anigbata said the judgment is not over until it is over, warning that there is always pay back time for all actions.
He said Nigerians are watching Supreme Court closely until they took their own decisions, stating: “if they like, let them toe the same line like the Tribunal. There will be a day of Judgement. If they like Supreme Court should be part of the mess.”
Chief Anigbata warned: “But they know that Nigeria is pregnant. Anything can happen at anytime. There can be turnaround. Those who are rejoicing now may cry”.
