Plateau Governor, Lalong pledges early completion of NUJ secretariat remodeling

The Plateau State government has assured that the remodeling of the state secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, would be completed before the rains sets in.

State Commissioner of information and communication,  Dan Manjang, gave this assurance when he undertook an official assessment visit to the NUJ to see for himself, the ongoing renovation work at the Press centre.

The commissioner who, in company of the ministry’s directors, express satisfaction with the progress of work done so far expressed delight that the State government under the governor, Simon Lalong, have enjoy a cordial relationship with the Journalist on the Plateau.

He applauded members of the Press by being Professional in their conduct and stressed that the NUJ will enjoy all pledges made by the “rescue administration”.

Earlier, State Chairman of  the NUJ, Paul Jatau while taking the commissioner round the facilities express appreciation to governor Lalong for sponsoring the renovation work at the Press centre.

He then appealed to the commissioner to ensure the contractors are back on site for the speedy completion of the remodelling of the centre to allow full utilisation of the facility by the members.
