Plateau lands commissioner, Dati warns Dogon Dutse community againt encroaching into gov’t land

The Plateau State Government has warned that those encroaching public lands will face the music.
Dropping the warning, the state Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Yakubu Dati said the practice was no longer acceptable as the people have remained adamant after several wary.
He was particular on the piece of land situated at Dogon Dutse layouts, which he said government would begin clampdown on such encroachment soon.
Hon Dati gave this warning in press statement advising the people of the state to steer clear of the mentioned landed property belonging to the state government.
The commissioner expresses displeasure with the way and manner people are now encroaching into the land while touring state government lands around some of the layouts in the state.
He cautioned that the attention of the ministry has been drawn to the development by a reliable source that some individuals have commenced building inside land without contacting the appropriate authority.
Dati stressed that activities of some individuals who are bent on grabbing all the piece of land situated at Dogon Dutse layout can no longer be tolerated by his ministry.
He further stated that the said land which is currently being used for recreational purposes is the sole property of the Plateau State Government and not Federal Government’s as paraded by these unscrupulous agents.
The Commissioner hereby advised the general public to steer clear of the said land or have themselves to blame.
