Plateau Our Heritage Revival Initiative sympathizes with parents, government over school collapse

The Plateau Our Heritage Revival Initiative, ( POHri), has joined well meaning Nigerians to lend it’s voice over the sad incident of a collapsed school in Jos, Plateau State on the morning of Friday.
Reports has it that the unfortunate incident which saw a two-storey building of Saints Academy, a secondary school in the Busa-Buji neighborhood of Jos North Local Government Area, collapsed at around 10:30 am while students were writing their examinations.
So far, about 22 persons, majority of who are students are reportedly killed in the incident with 134 others hospitals within the city centre.
The POHri commiserated with the families of Saints Academy school building collapse, those injured and the government of Plateau State over the incident it described “horrible”
POHri applauded the efforts deployed by emergency management agencies at all levels, security agencies and individuals to ensure that many trapped students were rescued and currently receiving medical attention from injuries sustained from the tragic school collapse.
POHri while condemning the incident, called “on government at all levels through their appropriate emergency management agencies and other individuals to come up with efforts to ameliorate the sufferings and conditions of those receiving medical attention.
“While praying God to comfort the families of the deceased students and grant speedy recovery to those injured, POHri urged the citizens to ensure they adhere strictly to building construction standards without compromising same” it said in a statement signed by its chairman, Alex Kwapnoe and secretary, Friday Bako.
