Plateau PDP mourns former Super Falcons coach, Ismaila Mabo

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, Mr. Chris Hassan has mourned Ismaila Mabo, a former coach of the Nigeria female football team, the Super Falcons, who died at the ripe aged of 80.

The Chairman believes Coach Mabo guidance as a veteran would have availed much for Nigeria football, but it pleased his Maker to call him home at a time his counsel is needed.

The chairman in a statement signed Kefas Sumdi, his Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol said “the party is saddened to learn of the passing of former Nigeria Super Falcons, Mighty Jet coach and a formidable central defender.”

Mabo was a legend in Nigeria football history and made his mark as a player and Captain of the Mighty Jets FC of Jos and a defender with the National team, the Green Eagles was electrifying, the statement added.

Mr. Hassan prays Almighty God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest with divine comfort for family, Nigeria Football federation, friends, associates, and everyone who came in contact with the talented sportsman.

He stressed that the nation will forever remember him for his patriotism, devotion to duty and ensuring victory for Nigeria football when it mattered most.
