Plateau State Governor, Lalong

By Raymond Gukas, Jos

The Plateau state government has ordered schools to shutdown as the Corona virus disease infection is threatening the social life across the country.

This is coming after the government has set up three isolation centres in Jos, the state capital.

According to a two paragraphs statement signed by the Secretary to the state government,  SSG, Danladi Anok Atu, this action was for the safety of the people.

“The decision becomes unavoidable because of the wide spread of the Corona virus” in the  country and the world at large.

“It is  therefore imperative for the government to adapt and other measures to safeguard the lives of the citizens. Parents are encouraged” imbibe the culture of personal hygiene as a way of curtailing the disease.

Therefore, pre primary, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in the state are advised to close up on or before 21 March  2020.
