Police arrest Malabu, Belel kidnappers’ syndicate, recover gun, mobile phones, charms, others

Adamawa State Police Command operatives attached to the State intelligent Bureau (SIB) have arrested four notorious high-profile kidnapping suspects indicted for the abduction of one Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar of Mbilla Malabu in Fufore Local Government Area of the state.
The arrest of the suspects follows the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde and unrelenting efforts by the Police to ensure perpetrators of the dastardly act are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.
The arrests was made known in a press statement Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Ahaya Nguroje made available to Apex News Exclusive.
He said the breakthrough that led to the arrest of the suspects follows complaint made by the victim after been kidnapped twice by the criminal gangs.
The encouraging confession by the suspects revealed that the abducted complained sometimes in January, 2019 and received N1million as ransom and subsequently re-kidnapped him on the 11 February, 2021. by the same syndicate but he luckily escaped when negotiation for ransom was ongoing.
The victim also revealed that it was through the assistance by members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, apprehended three out of five members of the gang.
They include Ahmadu Abdu, 24 years, a resident of Mbilla Malabu village and Buba Yusufa, 28 years, both residents of Mbilla Malabu village and 18 years old, a resident of Bamanga village.
The Commissioner while commending his officers, men and Chairman of Miyetti Allah for making it difficult for criminals to escape arrest, assured that the Command is committed to working with law-abiding citizens to secure the state and reduce crimes to the barest minimum.
The suspects will soon be charged to court law after completion of investigations.
