Police arrest suspected armed robbers, cultists in Anambra

Police detectives in Anambra State have arrested a three-man suspected robbery syndicate.
According to a statement by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Haruna Mohammed (SP), Police detectives attached to Isiuwulu Division arrested three man robbery suspects who allegedly conspired and snatched a bag belonging to one Mercy Anekwe containing a sum of N15, 000, camon Xpro valued at N75,000, Tecno 66I valued N7,800 and power bank valued N3,500 inside a Keke NAPEP along Limca road Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

It said exhibits recovered from the suspects included the complainant’s SIM card while the case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
The statement also said that in order to stem the tide of cultism in the State, the Command Special Anti Cult unit (SPACS) carried out intensive Raids on Criminal hideouts in various communities within the State during which eighteen suspects cultists arrested at Ihiala, Okija axis six suspects at Ekwulobia axis, fifteen at Nteje -Awkuzu axis, five at Nkpor Uno, eleven at Ifite Awka axis, twenty-two at Oko -Nanka, while eighteen suspects were arrested at Enugwu- Ukwu – Nimo-Nise axis.
