Two men who gang raped a sixteen year-old girl at Osumowu Street, Awada in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, are now cooling it off in Police net.
Report has it that the girl was left unconscious due to excessive loss of blood.
The men are one Chidiebere Uzoma, aged forty-five years of Ukaegbu Street Awada and one Uchenna Nwegbu, aged twenty-three years of Osumowu Street, Awada.
According to Anambra State Police Public Relation Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed, the victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration and multiple lacerations of her hymen was confirmed.
Mr. Mohammed said that she is presently receiving treatment.
He added that upon interrogation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the alleged crime.
Consequently, the suspects were arraigned before the magistrate court Idemili on Tuesday 11th March 2021 for prosecution after investigation was concluded.
