Police parade suspected killer of Ndubuisi Nwokolo at Amawbia

Anambra State Police Command has arrested the alleged killer of one Ndubuisi Nwokolo at No: 21,  Otumoye Street Odoakpu Onitsha.
Our Correspondent was at the State Police command during the parade of the suspect Ikechukwu Udensi also known as Ikanda and reports that in broad day light on the 29th of June 2018, a young man, Ndubisi Nwokolo was allegedly murdered in cold blood by one Ikechukwu Udensi alias Ikanda and his accomplices using offensive weapons such as machetes and wood’s.
Ikanda escaped after the incident, and the state government place a one million naira bounty on him.
Addressing the press the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mustapha Dandaura, while parading the suspect and six other suspects for various criminal offences including attack on Ajali Police Station and armed robbery.
He said the suspect was eventually arrested in Onitsha following intelligence from Police detective and affirmed the resolve of the command not to relent in its war against crimes especially cultists. Mr. Dandaura while promising the safety and security of all citizens, implored ndi Anambra to report any suspicious persons or movement through the police emergency numbers for prompt response.
Ikanda on his part, denied the allegation and claimed that he only sells tickets, adding that on the said day, he only came out when people told him his boys had killed somebody in the market.
Other suspects accused of attacking the police station at Ajali, burning down the station and carting away three AK 47 rifles, including Abuchi Nwogu, Okwudili Nwenne, Maduabuchi Obia among others said they were arrested for no just cause for they know nothing about the attack.
Again a twenty five year old Chimaobi Amauwa who was said to have been released three weeks ago from detaining after one year two months for one chance offence said only God would vindicate him.
According to the police, all the cases are still under investigation after which suspects will be charged to court.
It would be recalled that the late Mr. Ndubisi Nwokolo was a native of Umunede, Ika North-East Local government Area, Delta State and a trader in Onitsha Main Market.
The deceased was said to be a Business Management graduate of the University of Calabar and was aged 39 before his death.
