President Tinubu inaugurates Governor Sule’s legacy projects in Nasarawa

President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Lafia Flyover, Underpass and State Secretariat complex projects designed and constructed by the administration of Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The flyovers and underpass projects are executed to ease traffic flow in the state capital and are officially named the “Bola Tinubu Exchange Road”.
President Tinubu performed the inauguration of the projects and other several legacy projects worth billions of naira on Wednesday in Lafia during a State working visit.
The President, while inaugurating the flyover and the underpass projects, commended Governor Sule for prioritising initiatives that directly benefit the people and expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received.
“It is a great honor for me to be here, feeling very welcomed, and to inaugurate these projects. I salute the prudent management of resources, commitment, and value given by the Governor of our dear state,” he said.
He urged residents to remain committed to the administration’s vision of economic recovery and national prosperity.
Tinubu also launched the Renewed Impact Programme for Women, Children, and Families, which is a Women Agro Value Expansion (WAVE) aimed at transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector by empowering women.
The President lauded the resilience of women, saying, “Women are the backbone of our growth and economy, the strength of our family values.”
He commended the Minister of Women Affairs, Hon Iman Suleiman – Ibrahim was not mentioned but rather Imran Suleiman for her initiatives geared towards empowering women across the country and pledged his administration’s support.
Tinubu inaugurated the Shendam Dual Carriageway, a road infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity and easing traffic flow.
He distributed operational vehicles to security agencies as well as tractors to boost agricultural productivity in the state.
“I could see the fertile land,
I could see the mechanisation efforts of the Governor. I could see improvement and rapid growth and harvesting of rice and many others.
“We will work with you to ensure values are added to your mineral deposits. Do not, because you are a solid mineral state, forget agriculture.
“We are going to make agriculture profitable and interesting for the youth and women. We will empower you through small-scale financing loans and opportunities for prosperity,” he stated.
He concluded with a town hall meeting with stakeholders at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall in the Government House, Lafia.
On his part, Governor Abdullahi Sule officially named the road “Bola Tinubu Exchange Road.”
Sule highlighted that the projects were inspired by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes prudent resource management.
“This project is a combination of an underpass and flyover covering 1 kilometer, and this road was built within one year because of the President’s reforms that gave us the support to fund it.”
He explained that the state funded these projects without resorting to borrowing.
Earlier, the President was received at the Usman Danfodio Airport in Lafia by Governor Sule and other dignitaries, including the Governors of Benue, Niger, Kwara, Kaduna, Ogun, Imo, and Borno States, as well as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
