President Tinubu sacks five ministers, reassigns ten, Nantawe, Bianca Ojukwu amongst seven nominees for confirmation

Federal Executive Council at its Wednesday meeting

In the long-awaited cabinet reshuffle, President Bola Tinubu Wednesday sacked five ministers, reassigned portfolios of ten and nominated seven others for appointment.
Those sacked are Minister of Education, Professor Mamman Tahir, Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju-Ken Ohanenye, Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lola Ade-John, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.
The reassigned ministers are Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu from Minister of State, Education now as Minister of State, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Morufu Alausa, Minister of State for Health as Minister of Education, Bello Muhammad Goronyo from Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation to Minister of State for Works, Abubakar Momoh from Minister of Niger Delta to Minister of Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu from Minister of State, Steel Development to Minister of State for Regional Development and Doris Uzoka-Anite from Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment to Minister of State for Finance.
Others are, Senator John Owah from Minister of Sports Development to Minister of State Trade and Investment (Industry), Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, Minister of State, Police Affairs to Minister of Women Affairs, Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development to Minister of Youth Development and Dr. Salako Adeboye from Minister of State for Environment to Minister of State for Health.
The newly nominated Ministers are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister for Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Minister for Ministry of Labour and Employment and Jumoke Oduwole, Minister for Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment.
Other nominees are Idi Muktar Maiha, Minister for Ministry of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State for Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and Suwaiba Saad Ahmed, Minister of State for Ministry of Education.
In a statement from the Presidency, former Minister of Sports and Youth Development in the Muhammadu Buhari administration, Sunday Akin Dare has been appointment Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation working from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
