President Tinubu’s Evergreen City project’ll boost power supply, create jobs in Nasarawa— Governor Sule

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said President Bola Tinubu vision of Evergreen City project would enhance power supply and create massive jobs opportunity for unemployment youths across the country.
The Evergreen City project is to be established in Nasarawa State.
This is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Addra issued on Thursday.
Mr. Addra spoke at a meeting with officials of CATL, a behemoth and World largest EV battery producers in China.
Governor Sule disclosed that the support system to be provided by the state include a proposed 5000 hectares of land in Karu, the headquarters of Karu local government area of the state for the siting of the Evergreen City Project.
Governor Sule who is currently in China as part of the Federal Government delegation headed by the Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen and Spokesman to the President, Mr. Ajuri Ngelale.
Also in the team is the Managing Director/CEO of the Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria (InfraCorp), Dr. Lazarus Angbazo.
The governor Sule affirmed that Nigeria’s population with a huge demand for energy is a ready available market for the energy that will be generated from the project.
Governor Sule and the team were earlier taken on a tour of the facilities including the automated assembly line.
The CATL management in what could be described as positive response indicated a detailed presentation of how their technologies and associated financing platforms can be tailored to the unique requirements of Evergreen City.
The delegation is also expected to attend similar meetings in Beijing in connection with the Evergreen City project.
