Ramadan feeding: Kebbi procures three hundred truck load of food items

Kebbi State Government has purchased three hundred truckload of assorted food items for free Ramadan feeding to the people as Muslims gear up for the annual spiritual rites in a couple of days.
Governor Nasir Idris announced this in Birnin Kebbi at the final lap of his thank-you-visit to the 21 local government areas of the state on Monday.
Comrade Nasir Idris said the gesture was part of the policy thrust of his administration to provide succour and uplift the living standard of all communities.
“I am immensely thankful to the people of Birnin Kebbi and the rest of the state for your unflinching support to me. As long as I remain the Governor, my administration will continue to provide free grains to the people as well as free fertilizers to farmers, while to some extent education will remain free”.
He further stated that: “We have improved school feeding to N300 million monthly in order to provide good meal to students as a deliberate measure to encourage them face their studies seriously”.
He stressed that he would continue to run an open and inclusive government to give every section a sense of belonging, noting that: “Already, I have appointed more than 6000 Special Advisers and Assistants to serve in an all encompassing governance”.
Governor Idris disclosed that his government would hasten urban and rural transformation, construction of access roads to facilitate movement of goods and services for the socioeconomic development of the state.
