Relief as security operatives rescue kidnapped persons in Kebbi

A joint operation by security agencies has successfully rescued all the eighteen people abducted at Kanya village of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area in Kebbi State on Thursday.

Confirming the development to newsmen through a telephone conversation, the Chairman, Danko Wasagu Local Government, Hussani Aliyu Bena attributed the success recorded by the military and other security personnel to their determination to end banditry in Nigeria as well as the support they enjoyed from Governor Nasir Idris.

He disclosed that when the security agencies got information about the incident they tactically went after the bandits and blocked them at Karen Bena en route Zamfara State, dislodged them and rescued all the kidnapped victims before reuniting them with their families.

He lauded the present administration for prompt release of fund to security agencies, adding that such support and concern would always boost the morale of security personnel towards protecting the lives and property of people across the state.

“Infact many villagers have started returning to thier homes and also continued with their farming activities. Since four days ago the army and the Nigeria Airforce have been neutralising many bandits in our areas,” Bena said.
