Remain discipline, committed to duty, Taraba CP tells 84 new promoted officers

Eighty-four newly promoted police officers have been reminded to be disciplined and adhere strictly to professional calling.
Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara gave the charge in Jalingo while decorating the newly promoted officers of the Command.
The Police boss while congratulating them for elevation to new ranks, appreciated President Bola Tinubu, Police Affairs Minister and Inspector General of Police, (IGP) whom God have used to remember Taraba Command.
Ukachi disclosed that out-of-the number, two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) now promoted to Commissioners of Police, seventeen Superintendent of Police (SP) moved to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), as fifty-eight Deputy Superintendent of Police now moved to Superintendent of Police (SP) among others.
He revealed that more promotions are under way and challenged the newly promoted officers to rise up to the challenges as promotion is a rare privilege that should not be mistaken for granted.
He equally appreciated Taraba State Government led-administration of Dr. Agbu Kefas for numerous support as well as sister agencies such as Military, Civil Defense, Road Safety, Immigration, Customs Service, Prisons, others for collaboration.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Barr. Gibon Kataps lauded the newly promoted officers for hard-work and encouraged them to put in more effort as promotion calls for additional service.
He re-iterated that Governor Agbu Kefas administration will continue to partner with the Command to enable it discharge its statutory responsibility in the state.
Also speaking, Taraba State Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Ya’u Ibrahim Barewa and his Vice, Bappah Mohammed, said elevation of the officers will improve productivity to the command as others will be encouraged to put in their best in the service.
They thanked IGP and Taraba Command for the promotion and sued for collaboration between police and its association in the state.
One of the newly promoted officers, DSP Anyanwu Uche expressed gratitude to both Command headquarters, Abuja and Taraba for the elevation, promising to justify the new ranks accorded them.
