Road construction: Bauchi government pays compensation to 110 land, properties owners in Bogoro LG

Following the construction of roads in Bogoro LGA, the Bauchi State Government has started paying compensation to all land and property owners affected by the construction.
The disclosure was made by Mr. Paul Ojas Bunson, Director of Admin, Ministry of Works and Transport when he led members of the Committee to Bogoro headquarters of the LGA.
Paul Ojas Bunson stated that the payment is only for those whose farmlands or houses and other valuable properties were affected as a result of the road construction in Bogoro, Lusa and Boi villages respectively.
He said that the state Government is compensating those affected with the aim to alleviate their sufferings in line with the relevant laws and regulations.
The Director further explained that the mandate of the committee is to disburse the fund to the allocated beneficiaries as approved by the state Government.
In his response the Executive Chairman Bogoro LGA Hon. Iliya Habila appreciated the State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the giant efforts in ensuring that compensation are paid to people whose properties were affected as a result of the developmental project of road construction in Bogoro Local Government.
Iliya Habila further appealed to the Committee to ensure fairness in the discharge of the assigned responsibility.
He also charged them to ensure names of beneficiaries who where omitted are being forwarded to the state Government for onward inclusion and payment.
