-As Gov. Bala announces new transport opportunities

The Bauchi State branch of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) on Tuesday endorsed the reelection bid of Governor Bala Abdulkadr Mohammed of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming governorship election.
The event took place at Command Guest Inn, in Bauchi city this afternoon.
The RTEAN chairman in the state, Abdullahi Mohammed at the endorsement forum in Bauchi attended by the governor alongside his deputy, Senator Baba Tela, and other top government and party officials, said the governor deserved to be reelected in recognition of his achievements in critical sectors of the state’s economy.
He said the association has since directed its members across the state to mobilize support and votes for the reelection bid of the governor to enable him emerge victorious in the outcome of the polls to consolidate on his administration’s gains in the first tenure.
Abdullahi Mohammed said the buses provided to road transport workers and the construction of urban and rural roads by Governor Bala which is for the benefit of road transport workers has assisted immensely towards improving their transport activities thereby enhancing economic development of the state.
“Your Excellency, we have no option than to support your reelection because of the tremendous achievement your government recorded in less than 4 years of your first tenure. All of us we are united to work assiduously to ensure you emerge victorious.”
On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed described the endorsement of the RTEAN as a moral booster for him to do more to the association and other relevant bodies in a renew efforts impact positively on the lives of the citizens of the state regardless of their political differences.
The governor announced new transport opportunities if reelected as part of his continued commitment to improve transport activities in the state for economic development and poverty alleviation.
“I am honoured for your endorsement to support my reelection bid. Your love and support to me is yielding positive results.”
