Sacrilege as Plateau second class monarch is abducted by gunmen

The authority of Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State has began frantic search for Pankwal of Bogghom, His Royal Highness Alhaji Shehu Suleiman who was abducted in the early hours of Monday by gunmen.
Alhaji Suleiman who is the paramount ruler of the Bogghom people of Kanam, was kidnapped in his palace, the council chairman, Abbas Wokdung said.
“We are trying our best in conjunction with the state government and security operatives to ensure the release of His Royal Highness, but for now we are yet to established any contact with the kidnappers and no ransom demands have been made yet,” he said.
The Pankwal Bogghom is a second class chief in Plateau State.
Meanwhile, the Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, Hezekiah Dimka in a press statement issued to journalists in Jos on Monday expressed disappointment on the disappearance of the royal father.
In the statement signed by his Senior Legislative Aide, Shehu Kanam, he noted that Alhaji Suleiman is a man of peace who always advocated for peaceful coexistence in the state.
The “Senator is in touch with the family of the Pankwal, and the relevant authorities to ensure the timely release of the paramount ruler”, the aide added.
The Plateau Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Obah Ogaba when contacted said he has been trying to reach the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kanam to get information on the incident and promised to get back to our reporter as soon as he was able to contact the DPO.
