SDP governorship candidate, Hon. Baido storms Karim Lamido, received over 2000 defectors at Zailani

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido was at Karim Lamido to cast his vote in the presidential and national assembly elections.

Hon. Baido alongside his wife, Mrs. Mbantira Baido cast their votes at Maina Polling Unit of Angwan Rogo in Mutum Daya.

Before the election day, the governorship hopeful was at different towns and villages of the local government area in continuation of town hall meetings, commissioning of some SDP offices, pay homage to traditional rulers as well as lay a foundation of a hospital at Fitowa.

Hon. Baido was at Bandawa, Jen Petel, Jen, Woro-Lacca, Kuka, Didango, Garu, Zailani and Bambur among others numerous stoppage overs.

At Didango, he commissioned an SDP office and informed the people to vote for the party for the governorship election, a party that would come to their aid.

According to him, the SDP is the only party that can help fix their challenges that include bad roads, lack of potable water, health and education.

At Zailani, Hon. Baido receive over 2000 defectors from All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and from other parties from Darofai Ward of Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

According to the leader of the defectors, Musa Mohammed, they decided to decamp to SDP because of the personality of Hon. Baido, who they believed would come to their needs.

He further stressed that they have come to the realization that the parties they left are never sincere in their dealings.
