Security agencies urged to strategise to fish out criminals in North-East

The Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has tasked security personnel to intensify intelligence gathering as part of strategies to fish out criminals in their hide outs in the North East sub-region of the country.
The Governor made the remarks while declaring open the 8th conference of the State Directors of Security in the North-East Zone in Jalingo.
The Governor who was represented by the State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu stressed that intelligence gathering machanism will play an important role in assisting security personnel to track down criminals in their hide outs in the State and the North-East in general.
The Governor,assured the participants that his administration will Continue to give necessary support to security agencies to enable them carry out their activities effectively in the state,describing the conference as timely.
He used the forum, to commend the military and other security agencies in the state for a job well-done.
In their Separate remarks, the State Director , Department of State Security Services, Ibrahim Sale, and that Adamawa State Command, Babagana Bulama who is also, the conference Chairman said the aim of the two-day conference was to improve the security situation in the North East zone in an effort to combat insurgency, banditry, kidnapping,and other crimes that affected the peace, unity and socio-socio-economic development of zone.
Also commenting , the heads of military and the police formations in Taraba state, appreciated the support of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku and called for more effective collaboration between security agencies in order to address the lingering insecurity challenges faced by the zone.
