Senator Al-Makura felicitates with Christians at Easter

The Senator representing Nasarawa south senatorial zone at the National Assembly, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has felicitated with Christians as they celebrate Easter.
Al-Makura, who is the former governor of the State in a statement on Sunday signed by press secretary, Mr. Danjuma Joseph, admonished Christians to use the festive occasion to pray for unity, peace and prosperity of the state and the country as a whole.
Al-Makura, who is also Senate Committee Chairman on Solid Minerals, Mines, Steel Development and Metallurgy, urged all citizens to learn from the pain, joy, love and care which characterized the period of Lent and the Easter celebration.
According to the statement, “The lesson of Jesus death and resurrection as explained in the Holy Bible, is a demonstration of love and selflessness and as beneficiary of his undying love, we most extend same to our fellow human.”
”We need to be passionate and always make meaningful contributions towards positive development and progress of our dear state and the country at large,” the statement added.
He, however, urged all citizens to pray for President Buhari, who is on medical trip abroad and Governor Abdullahi Sule, to succeed in his administration.
