The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has concluded his Constituency interactions with stakeholders in his Senatorial District.

According to him, the visit provided him the opportunity to Commission some of his Constituency projects as well as inspect others that will be commissioned in the nearest future.

This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser Media to Senator Lalong.

On the last day of his consultation, Lalong met with representatives of traditional rulers, religious organisations such as CAN and JNI, various socio-cultural organisations, women groups including NCWS, youth groups among others in Shendam, the Zonal headquarters.

He appreciated them for their support and prayers over the years and said he has decided to come and give them a feedback of his representation as well as get a feedback from them.

Lalong told them about his efforts to provide water, schools, medical facilities, energy and other empowerment materials for the benefit of the people.

He said the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made arrangements for implementation of financial autonomy of local Governments which will see them getting money for rapid development.

Lalong urged them to be vigilant and ask questions so as not to be shortchanged when local Governments start receiving the fund directly.

He also called on them to always give their advice to political office holders and ensure they draw their attention to whatever they feel dissatisfied about.

The Senator promised to continue to look at projects and programmes that have been abandoned and new ones that need attention with a view to ensuring that the people get the best.

Representatives of CAN, JNI, NCWS, traditional rulers, development associations and socio-cultural groups took turns to appreciate the Senator as well as raise various issues for his consideration and action.

The Senator later met with first and second class traditional rulers at the palace of the Long Gamai, HRH Miskoom Martin Shaldas III.
