Senator Lalong condoles former Plateau speakers Alarms, Madaki, Kebang over death of loved ones

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has paid condolence visits to his former colleagues who lost loved ones in Jos recently.

Lalong accompanied by some members of his cabinet and former Speaker Goar was at the residence of former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Titus Alams at Rayfield to commiserate with him over the death of his wife, Mrs. Habibatu who passed on recently.

He described her as a woman of substance who gave her best to the society, her family and the church where she served in several positions.

Lalong urged the former Speaker to be consoled by her good legacies which will remain a source of inspiration for those she left behind.

Rt. Hon. Alams thanked Senator Lalong for the visit and said the family has accepted the death as the will of God and will continue to pray for comfort and the repose of her soul.

Senator Lalong also visited the residence of former Speaker Rt. Hon. Joshua Madaki who recently lost his mother.

Lalong consoled him and the family describing the death of his mother at the age of 88 years as painfully but an opportunity to thank God for what she achieved while alive.

Rt. Hon. Madaki appreciated the visit by Senator Lalong and said the words of comfort mean a lot to them at this moment of grief.

Similarly, Senator Lalong also visited the family of late Dr. Alexander Kebang, a former Rector of the Plateau State Polytechnic who died at the age of 79 recently.

He prayed for the repose of his soul and appreciated his contributions to the development of Plateau State particularly in the area of education.

The family appreciated the visit and said they were comforted by the good memories he left behind.
