Senator Lalong congratulates Ambassador Kwande on selection as Long Kwo of Kwo Chiefdom

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has congratulated Ambassador Yahaya Kwande on his selection as the next Long Kwo of Kwo Chiefdom in Quaan-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State by the kingmakers.

Senator Lalong said he is elated by the emergence of the elder statesman who was selected by the kingmakers to be the next occupant of the exalted Long Kwo stool.

This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.

He described Ambassador Kwande as a worthy selection who brings in tremendous wealth of experience, knowledge and vast contacts towards the service of his people.

Lalong expressed optimism that Ambassador Kwande will use his position to work for greater unity, peace and development within the Kwo Chiefdom, Quaan-pan Local Government, Gamailand, Plateau State and Nigeria at large.

While praying God to grant him good health, wisdom and courage to serve the people with justice, fairness and compassion, Senator Lalong pledged to support him towards consolidating the mandate bestowed upon him as he ascends the throne.

He looks forward to the completion of the processes that will eventually lead to the official presentation of the staff of office to the newly selected Long Kwo.
