A former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has congratulated Dr. Hosea Finangwai, a former Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development on his birthday.

Lalong described Finangwai as a thoroughbred agricultural expert, teacher and researcher with extensive knowledge in animal husbandry and other aspects of agriculture.

According to him, Dr. Finangwai brought a lot on the table when he held sway as the Commisioner for Agriculture and Rural Development during his tenure as Governor of Plateau State where he served with dedication, honesty and sincerity.

He said so much was achieved in the sector particularly in attracting counterpart programmes such as RAAMP, AfDB-funded potatoes value chain program, Fadama III, Wheat farming, Livestock Transformation Programme and pilot Ranching project in Wase among others which have continued to endure even after the administration is out of office.

Lalong also highlighted the role of Finangwai in actualizing the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture as one of the new Faculties at the Plateau State University Bokkos.

While wishing him many more years, Senator Lalong urged him to continue to serve the State and nation by deploying his vast knowledge and expertise as he deepens the work of teaching and research.

He wishes him good health and God’s blessings and prays God to guide his steps in the years ahead.
