Senator Lalong congratulates former Minister Dame Pauline Tallen on her birthday
The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has congratulated Dame Pauline Tallen, former Minister of Women Affairs and former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, on the occasion of her birthday.
In a congratulatory message, Senator Lalong described Dame Tallen as an accomplished politician, seasoned administrator and trailblazer, whose outstanding career in public service has left an indelible mark on Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that Dame Tallen served meritoriously as Deputy Governor of Plateau State, and later as Minister of Science and Technology under President Olusegun Obasanjo, where she contributed significantly to national development through science-driven policies.
She subsequently served as Minister of Women Affairs under President Muhammadu Buhari, where she became a strong voice for women, children and other vulnerable groups.
Senator Lalong further acknowledged her role as a mentor and role model, noting that she has inspired and mentored many women across the country to actively participate in politics and leadership, thereby expanding the space for female inclusion in governance.
According to him, Dame Tallen’s life of service, commitment to excellence and dedication to nation-building have earned her widespread respect and national recognition, culminating in the honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
The former Governor prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and strength for Dame Tallen as she celebrates another year, wishing her many more fruitful years of impactful service to humanity.
