Ambassador Yahaya Kwande
Simon Bako Lalong, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District has felicitated with elder statesman Ambassador Yahaya Kwande on his 95th birthday.
Lalong in a message described Ambassador Kwande as a leader with impressive records of service to the nation over the years.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.
He said Kwande has remained an inspiration to the younger generation because of his consistency in advocating for unity, peaceful coexistence and patriotism in the country.
According to the former Plateau State Governor, Ambassador Yahaya is one of the few elders that have demonstrated sufficient interest in the peace, progress and prosperity of Plateau State and Nigeria over the years, hence his willingness to advise and share his wealth of experience with the Government on key issues.
Senator Lalong recalls the contributions of Ambassador Kwande in the fields of politics, administration, diplomacy and community service which have remained a reference point for the current generation.
While wishing the elderstatesman many more years of good health, divine protection and happiness, Lalong urged him to continue to avail the nation his wealth of wisdom, experience and passion for humanitarian service.
