Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has felicitated with the former Deputy Governor of Plateau State Prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden on his birthday.

Senator Lalong described Prof. Tyoden who was his Deputy Governor from 2015-2023 as a man of integrity, scholar of international repute and politician with deep insight and capacity.

He recalled the excellent relationship they shared in the course of serving the people of Plateau State and said Prof. Tyoden not only brought value and intellectualism to governance, but also exhibited loyalty and commitment to the Rescue Mission.

Senator Lalong acknowledged the deep intellectual insight Prof. Tyoden has exhibited over the years in his career as an academic and University Administrator which became apparent in the way he conducted government business while in office.

He also appreciated his humility, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of the people through various personal initiatives and interventions that have brought succour to many.

The Senator also thanks the former Deputy Governor for mentoring many young people not only in the academia, but also in politics, entrepreneurship and community service.

He wished him well and prayed that God will continue to grant him good health, peace and divine protection.
